Why do we process your data?
We process personal data concerning
everyone signed up for EGN's network
groups or other network-related
activities. It is necessary for us to
process personal data to be able to
arrange network meetings, activities,
etc.
Are we allowed to process your
data?
We are allowed to process personal data
because it is a prerequisite for us in
order to honour the agreement (contract)
we have made with you (cf. Article 6,
Subsection 1, Para (b)).
Categories of personal data
We process the following categories of
your personal data:
We only process general
personal data
(so-called Article 6 data), such as
name,
contact information, occupation, place
of
employment, etc.

We disclose or forward your personal data

We do not transfer personal data to any
third countries.
How do we obtain your personal
data?
The personal data we have registered
about you, you have either provided
yourself in connection with sign-up, or we
have received it from open sources such as
LinkedIn.
Storage of your personal
data
We store your personal data as long as it
is relevant in connection with your
network activities.
If you resign from a network, we delete
your data after 2 years. An exception
hereto is bookkeeping information, which
we store for 5 years in accordance with
the Bookkeeping Act.
Automated decision-making, including
profiling
We do not make use of automated
decision-making, including
profiling.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection
Regulation, you have a number of rights in
relation to our processing of your
personal data.
You must contact us if you want to make
use of these rights.
The right to see data (right of
access)
You have the right to access the data we
process about you.
In the EGN Members' Universe, you can see
most of the data we have registered about
you
The right to rectification
(correction)
You have the right to have incorrect data
about you corrected. Please contact us if
relevant.
The right to erasure
In certain circumstances, you have the
right to have your data erased earlier
than the time of our ordinary general
erasure.

Please note that it is not possible for
us to delete your personal data while you
still wish to make use of EGN's network
services.
Also, please note that we might not
immediately want to erase certain data if
this is prohibited by relevant
legislation.
The right to restrict
processing
In certain circumstances, you can request
the restriction of your personal data. If
you have the right to restrict processing,
going forward we are only allowed to
process your information – other than
store it – with your consent or for the
purpose of setting up, advancing or
defending a legal claim, or to protect a
person or important societal
interests.
The right to object
In certain circumstances, you have the
right to object to our otherwise lawful
processing of your personal data. You also
have the right to object to your data
being used for direct marketing.
The right to transmit data (data
portability)
In certain circumstances, you have the
right to receive your personal data in a
structured, commonly used and
machine-readable format as well as to have
this personal data transferred from one
data controller to another without let or
hindrance.
Complaint with the national Data
Protection Agency
You have the right to file a complaint
with the relevant, national Data
Protection Agency if you are unhappy with
the way we process your personal
